The green forests of the Notranjska region are home to a large number of bears. Visiting their habitat is an exciting experience that awakens respect for these powerful creatures and for nature in general. Atma, an organisation involved in the interpretation of cultural and natural heritage, wants to realise a long-held dream: that of creating an area for the interpretation of the natural heritage of the Bear in the centre of the Loka Valley. As well as a centre containing exhibits, we would like to create accommodation for tourists. We organise guided visits to see brown bear paths and tracks and, in the company of hunters, bear-watching from hides.
