Deposits::Coolture at graduation

The following idea was submitted to the Snovalec 2011 call, a national competition for most promising tourism ideas in Slovenia that are brought to life by the help of Slovenian Tourist Board and the Ministry of Economy. Out of 73 submitted ideas it was chosen as one of the 12 most promising.

For 15 years, Collegium Mondial Travel Agency has been successfully engaged in organising travels for young people that are primarily aimed at high school pupils. From year to year, the awareness of travelling being an extremely powerful form of non-formal education is increasing and this has led to the development of a product that is presented in the Snovalec (Eng. Creator) project. It is estimated that in Slovenia, there are no programmes that would be so closely associated with the education segment ending with the Matura exam or with the educational programmes in general. Thus, Coolture is within the Matura exam encouraging young peoples’ travels around Slovenia and represents a new tourism niche that is also in accordance with the DPPST (Development Plan and Policies of Slovenian Tourism). According to our inquiries, there is no integral tourism product in Slovenia that would combine the above stated and would be aimed at the important secondary school pupils. Namely, they are in this period forming their travel habits, developing themselves as individuals, and selecting their fields of interest.
