In May Copenhagen hosted an international conference Green Business Model Innovation in the Tourism and Experience Economy. The conference was organized by the OECD Tourism Committee and Nordic Innovation. The platform of the conference was the joint OECD-Nordic Innovation project on green Business Model Innovation in the Tourism and Experience Industry, involving 28 companies from the Nordic region and other OECD countries.

The program revealed new insights and better understanding of tourism companies’ work with integrating green with innovation efforts and focus. Various international practices for green innovation in the tourism and experience economy were presented, among them the Slovenian case of the Bank of Tourism Potentials (BTPS), call Sejalec and call Snovalec that was recognized as an innovative approach towards identifying and cofinancing innovative tourism products.
