Avtorji so raziskovalno nalogo pripravili za 18. zaključno konferenco Mladi za turizem - državno tekmovanje dijakov srednjih gostinsko-turističnih šol in šol s turističnim programom. Tema 18. državne konference je bila Vizija in strategija razvoja trajnostnega turizma v mojem kraju.

Avtorice so se lotile postavljanja oz. izgradnje nove turistične destinacije. V ta namen so morale preučiti strategijo, trenutne trende v turizmu, dosedanjo ponudbo kraja, dostopnost ter obisk turistov. Na podlagi svojih idej želijo oživiti danes turistično nerazvit kraj.
