In the middle of the Bay of Piran, in the southernmost part of the Slovenian sea, in the heart of a fishing reserve and the Sečovlje Salina Nature Park, the mesh cages of the Fonda Fish Farm are teeming with sea bass. The Fonda Fish Farm, where the excellent Piran sea bass is naturally bred, is run by the Fonda family, who have unconditional love for the sea and work with great care and passion.

We offer an unforgettable experience to lovers of the sea and sea food.

You will discover why the Piran sea bass bred by the Fonda family is so special, healthy and tasty. You will learn about the careful selection of young fish spawn in the hatchery, the fish feed, the change of meshed cages, and will also see a demonstration of the hand-feeding of fish in free floating meshed cages and learn about the farm’s concern for the environment and the healthy growth of different generations of Piran sea bass. You will learn how to tell if fish is fresh.

You can take a more active approach and go and see the fish cages by kayak, canoe, or stand-up paddleboard, or be transported there by the Fish Farm’s hybrid/solar-powered boat: Inti.
