For two months the Bank of Tourism Potentials in Slovenia and the New Tourism Institute hosted the young entrepreneur Juan López of Spain. His visit was facilitated by the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme.
Over the course of two months Juan López got to know several Slovenian companies and numerous individuals who are active in the field of tourism or who have a special interest in tourism. He spent a week working at the Turag4all agency and a week at the Istriana agency. He visited the tourism associations of Kamniška Bistrica and Žetale. He was a guest of the Bohinj Park Hotel and took part in a conference on social enterprise and attended the Slovenian Innovation Forum, where he also took part in a round-table discussion. The visit by the young entrepreneur also attracted the interest of journalists, and he was interviewed for national newspaper Delo and several local papers.
The Bank of Tourism Potentials of Slovenia and the New Tourism Institute remain in the database of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme and look forward to being able to introduce other young entrepreneurs from abroad to the Slovenian tourism industry in the future. We hope that future visits will be as successful as Juan's has been. The success of the latter is demonstrated by the fact that the intermediary organisation has selected us as an example of Slovenian good practice.
